INFRASTRUCTURE

The Malealea Development Trust is committed to building infrastructure that will support planned development initiatives. Over the years, a number of different kinds of infrastructure have been developed, including the below projects:

  • Construction and maintenance of primary school classrooms
  • Construction and maintenance of preschools and play areas
  • Electrification of the Secondary School
  • Renovation and maintenance of the Secondary School and toilets for the school
  • Construction of a Community Centre
  • Construction of a Community Sports Field
  • Construction of a Handicraft Sales Room
  • Construction of administration offices for chiefs in the valley
  • Malealea Development Trust office
  • Construction of a village market place
  • Installation of pit latrines throughout the valley
  • Construction of reservoirs and other water harvesting facilities
  • Repair of roads and bridal paths
